Imaginative Traveller has been creating inspirational adventure holidays for nearly 40 years. Based in Debenham in the heart of Suffolk they offer both tailor made and small group experiences with a unique choice of travel styles to explore the world, to really get Suffolk people into the heart of the destinations they want to explore.
Charlie Hopkinson, Managing Director at Imaginative Traveller commented:
“This connection with Suffolk made supporting Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk, which will be raising money for St Elizabeth Hospice in 2019, a perfect choice. We love the fact that Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk is such a celebration of diversity and free thinking and we particularly that one of their lead elephant sculptures is aptly named “Where Will Your Imagination Take You?” We had great fun recently taking her on a whistle-stop tour of our favourite Suffolk sights.”
The Imaginative Traveller team took the sculpture on a bit of a road trip taking in iconic Suffolk landmarks such as the Woodbridge Tide Mill, the beach huts at Southwold, the scallop at Aldeburgh and the boating lake on Thorpeness Mere, capturing the trip in photographs as they went.
Norman Lloyd, Campaign Manager for the Parade at St Elizabeth Hospice, said:
“We were really pleased that Imaginative Traveller wanted to get involved in our parade. It seems like Elmer is a perfect fit for them and their messaging and we hope that they are able to reach out to lots of new people to help spread the love for their unique holidays even further!”
Charlie, who has travelled all over the world to the most remote destinations with Imaginative Traveller and sister company Dragoman Overland in their iconic overland orange trucks, added:
“We hope that being involved in the parade will inspire people to want to travel more imaginatively and adventurously than just booking the usual two week package holiday on a sun lounger.”
