Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk visitors can explore the trail in a number of different ways this year. The two main items of print are the Parade Map and the Learning Herd Guide:
The Parade Map
This basically does what is says on the tin! A map of Ipswich (as seen below), showing the locations of all large Elmer sculptures and full details; sculpture name, artist, sponsor and location. This map also shows the locations of the herds of young Elmers – 11 different locations in total.
The Learning Herd Guide
This publication is souvenir poster of all 84 young Elmers on one side, with a listing of all the young Elmers on the other, grouped in their herds. This is where you can find sculpture details, including title and school/youth organisation who have created the design.
The idea is that these two documents work together to help you find all the sculptures out on parade. Both are available to pick up from a variety of locations – please see the list below.
Suggested donation £1
This year we are asking for a suggested donation of £1 for both the Parade Map and the Learning Herd Guide. This is as a direct result from feedback received during Pigs Gone Wild, where we were told that people wanted to be able to donate to the hospice more easily. As a result we are not planning on making these print items available online. If you would like to follow the trail digitally, we would recommend that you download the app, which includes a map and full details of all our sculptures.
Merchandise
We have a whole range of branded Elmer merchandise and trail specific merchandise for sale throughout the trail. The merchandise sale points confirmed so far are listed below. You can also purchase merchandise online via the St Elizabeth Hospice online shop.
