Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk partner Associated British Ports (ABP) have had a busy year supporting the St Elizabeth Hospice organised art trail that has taken place this summer.
Not only did ABP sign up as event partner for the trail, enabling major campaign events such as the Learning Herd display at Suffolk Show, the big farewell weekend and the grand auction, but they also agreed to be part of an exclusive group of sponsors who back in early 2018 each pledged to fundraise an additional £3,500 in addition to their sponsorship of an Elmer sculpture. Keen to further expand their fundraising for Pigs Gone Wild, ABP set themselves the ambitious target of £20,000, which they have recently achieved.

The company have organised a whole range of fundraising activities which have engaged staff from all areas of their operation, including a charity bike ride between their bases in Ipswich and Lowestoft, and a quiz night, as well as many other charity events.

Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk is St Elizabeth Hospice’s latest art trail, organised in partnership with Wild in Art and Andersen Press. The sculptures were out on parade until Saturday 7 September 2019. It followed the successful ‘Pigs Gone Wild’ art trail in 2016, which attracted around 250,000 visitors to Ipswich and boosted the local economy by an estimated £1 million, raising £200,000 for the hospice – enough to fund one week’s care.
