Formed in May 1986, Ipswich East Suffolk Hockey Club provides hockey to mixed abilities from the age of 6 and up.
As a club, we have become prominent within Suffolk and now have a membership of around 250 subscribed. We have had success from past members with current England and GB goalkeeper George Pinner beginning his playing career with us. We also have two current U16 England internationals.
We work closely with schools in the area particularly Ipswich School having begun to play our hockey on the astro turf at Ipswich School Sports Centre in Rushmere from 2014. We also have strong ties with Northgate, Kesgrave and Copleston providing training on a weekly basis to ensure the continuing development of hockey amongst the younger society.
A non-profit organisation in our own right we aim to run charitable events year on year to support fundraising in the local area.
