Artists

Our call for Artists is open!

Next summer, Ipswich will host 50 individually designed Elmer elephants – which means we are on the lookout for 50 talented artists to come up with the designs.

The bar has been set high. In 2016, Pigs Gone Wild saw some truly imaginative and beautiful creations; from Ed Sheer-Ham and Piggy Stardust, to Tally-Ho Trotters, Hedgepig and Pretty Penny – we can’t wait to see what will be suggested for our Elmers next year.

You don’t have to be a well-known artist to submit a design, those as yet undiscovered are encouraged to take part too, you never know, this could be the start of something big!

If you are one of the artists selected, you will be commissioned to customise one of the 50 Elmer statues; creating a unique piece of art to be displayed next summer. Participating in Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk means your design could not only play an important role in the sculpture trail, but could also help to raise vital funds for your local hospice charity at an auction after the trail has ended.
